My trip to Finland's old capitol: TURKU and fun times with the missionaries...

Good morning! :)

How goes it? I am happy and I am going to the Temple today with my best friend from my ward...

Anywhooo... I visited Turku/Åbo at the end of November. It was a blast. I spent four days in the old capitol of my country, which in my humble opinion should have been kept as the capitol... As a person from Tampere/Tammerfors I should maybe expected to NOT like Turku, but like my father - I do like Turku and have liked it for a long time.

I stayed at my friends' place and they were so kind to me and I could "do my stuff" there in peace, like reading, writing and listening to music. I also loved attending the zoom -meetings that I had during my stay. My lovely friends are originally from Jyväskylä. We have known each other for years...

Sorry, long intro... :D

I spent four fabulous days in Turku. On Thursday I arrived and didn't meet with the missionaries that day, I rested from my trip to Turku. I arrived in the morning. OK. Sorry for the long backstory. I am feeling very much like I need to write a lot today LOL.

SO, on Friday I went with the bus (for FREE by the way): into the center of the city. The bus is free until 12.59 on weekdays if you have a walked, which I do have. Oopsie! Off-topic again... Excuse me!!! :D I am a explaning kinda girlie...

OK so on Friday, we went with the missionaries in Turku to eat at Pancho Villa. I couldn't eat a lot because I still had a dry cough and each french fry was making me cough SO much, so I just sat there, looking at the missionaries eating and talking with them. My voice was BACK and still is pretty good, by the way... I sounded kinda hoarse.  Not a horse :D lol hahhah!

So. That was nice.

On Saturday we had the Gold and Green ball. The missionaries were the doormen. I didn't dance. Bad back, walker, (anxiety because there were so many people there...). I talked with a few friends, my bishop's wife brought me a piece of chocolate cake and a pepsi max! She is SO amazing and friendly. We took a few crazy pictures with the missionaries just before they went home.

On Sunday I sat with the missionaries at church (during sacrament meeting) and the meeting was good and a LOT more quiet than we have here in Tampere... After church I visited my friend who lives close by Turku and then I went home.

That's all folks! :)

Boss/Mom and her excellent children :)

Good afternoon! This post is about two things: 1. How awesome missionaries are 2. How I am always on their side come what may SO. There has been a little break from last week's Tuesday until this week's Tuesday when I couldn't go to church or the activities at church. I had the flu... :( A little remnants still but almost okay now. I went to Game night this week on Tuesday. It was good. I spent a lot of time talking with one of the sisters and we played the piano for each other.. Then I also got a blessing because my anxiety has been acting up again. I must say, our elder Heaton is like a big brother, even to me! :) So wise and je ne sais quoi. Just a really good person. I am so grateful for all my bonus children.  I do not really remember if I told you in this blog that I am saving up money to go to Utah next year with my mom :) I have never been there. We have two relatives and their families living in Salt Lake City... I have like a billion children in Utah lol. Not a b...

Stake conference and a lot of missionaries

Good morning from Finland! :) Hope you are all doing well. I am doing really well.  Last weekend we had our stake conference, and this time it was .in Turku. the old capitol of our country. I like Turku a lot.. The people are nice, the ocean is close by (makes me feel at home, because I lived in Stockholm 12 years). I used to pass through Tukru A LOT when I lived in Stockholm... I got a ride there with my friends. That was really nice. On Saturday we arrived and we had the evening meeting at the church. I only said a quick word to the missionaries and left early because I was hungry and tired. I spent the night at my friend Virika. It was really nice. We watched "Isn't it romantic?" -a romantic comedy on Netflix, we also ate pizza. Sorry, this blog has turned more into a "normal blog" with a dash of missionaries! I am sorry! So. On Sunday I went a little earlier to the theater where we had our Sunday meeting. I sat before the meeting in the back corner and most...
