Preparation Day - P-day :)

 Hello!

I am back. Oopsie! :D

So. A little thing I experienced only twice on my mission, P-day. I do not really remember a lot except we went to the city center in Jyväskylä: to the library to write emails and to a café to eat a little. It is sooo weird what our brains choose to remember lol.

My companion from Idaho celebrated her birthday while I was there and we ate cake at church with the elders. I do not remember a lot else... I remember I did not get along with one of the elders, he was a little different in a way I did not understand. It was difficult.

There I am. :) My father Pekka said it would be good to take a "mission picture" :D He was the first Finnish missionary sent abroad by the way. I am so proud of my Dad. My mom served a summer mission near her home town of Jakobstad/Pietarsaari I think when she was the same age as me when I went on my mini mission (17).

So, my missionary work is in my family a very important part. We have always invited them to visit a lot since I was little and my dad served in London and Florida so he likes speaking English. He is also a journalist and a radio program person :) He writes and talks a lot, just like me lol. I love my parents. I was adopted to my family at the age of 3 months.

Maybe that is one of the reasons I love adopting missionaries. I know that everyone needs a family, also during their mission when they are really far away from home. I hope I can help the missionaries feel like they can come to visit and feel like my home is theirs :)

More later! :)

My trip to Finland's old capitol: TURKU and fun times with the missionaries...

Good morning! :) How goes it? I am happy and I am going to the Temple today with my best friend from my ward... Anywhooo... I visited Turku/Åbo at the end of November. It was a blast. I spent four days in the old capitol of my country, which in my humble opinion should have been kept as the capitol... As a person from Tampere/Tammerfors I should maybe expected to NOT like Turku, but like my father - I do like Turku and have liked it for a long time. I stayed at my friends' place and they were so kind to me and I could "do my stuff" there in peace, like reading, writing and listening to music. I also loved attending the zoom -meetings that I had during my stay. My lovely friends are originally from Jyväskylä. We have known each other for years... Sorry, long intro... :D  I spent four fabulous days in Turku. On Thursday I arrived and didn't meet with the missionaries that day, I rested from my trip to Turku. I arrived in the morning. OK. Sorry for the long backstory. ...

Boss/Mom and her excellent children :)

Good afternoon! This post is about two things: 1. How awesome missionaries are 2. How I am always on their side come what may SO. There has been a little break from last week's Tuesday until this week's Tuesday when I couldn't go to church or the activities at church. I had the flu... :( A little remnants still but almost okay now. I went to Game night this week on Tuesday. It was good. I spent a lot of time talking with one of the sisters and we played the piano for each other.. Then I also got a blessing because my anxiety has been acting up again. I must say, our elder Heaton is like a big brother, even to me! :) So wise and je ne sais quoi. Just a really good person. I am so grateful for all my bonus children.  I do not really remember if I told you in this blog that I am saving up money to go to Utah next year with my mom :) I have never been there. We have two relatives and their families living in Salt Lake City... I have like a billion children in Utah lol. Not a b...

Stake conference and a lot of missionaries

Good morning from Finland! :) Hope you are all doing well. I am doing really well.  Last weekend we had our stake conference, and this time it was .in Turku. the old capitol of our country. I like Turku a lot.. The people are nice, the ocean is close by (makes me feel at home, because I lived in Stockholm 12 years). I used to pass through Tukru A LOT when I lived in Stockholm... I got a ride there with my friends. That was really nice. On Saturday we arrived and we had the evening meeting at the church. I only said a quick word to the missionaries and left early because I was hungry and tired. I spent the night at my friend Virika. It was really nice. We watched "Isn't it romantic?" -a romantic comedy on Netflix, we also ate pizza. Sorry, this blog has turned more into a "normal blog" with a dash of missionaries! I am sorry! So. On Sunday I went a little earlier to the theater where we had our Sunday meeting. I sat before the meeting in the back corner and most...
