Springtime in Tampere aka the Manchester of Finland :)

 Hello there!

So sorry for the long absence. We got a few new missionaries but it's soon yet again the end of transfers...

We have EIGHT missionaries here at the moment:

Elders Flynn and Nielsen (the ZLs)

Sisters Nielsen and Ethington

Elders Wood and Williams

Sisters Bond and Cannon.

and me :D lol hahhah! No, just kidding. I am just a little bit of a bonus family member here, not a missionary... On Wednesday the 22nd of May it's my birthday and on Monday the 20th we're having a party at the church, on the third floor. I have only invited a few friends...

I think the 2nd ward sisters will plan a Quiz about yours truly, and I asked the 2nd ward elders to prepare a "coca-cola -drinking competition" :D lol. I thought it would be fun for guests (and me) try to guess the flavor and/or brand of coca-cola, pepsi etc. It is a new take on "drinking games" :D hahhhah! I am so funny lol.

We have had an awesome time here in the Manchester of Finland.

Elder Flynn is the "big brother" and I consider elder Wood the "little brother" :D Elder Wood is from Chicago and Elder Flynn from the REAL Manchester. (In England). I have concluded that British English is like "chocolate for the ears" and American English like "hamburgers for the ears" :D hahhah!

Each Tuesday evening we have game night at the church and because of my pains the missionaries come pick me up in the wheelchair and bring me to the church and back. We often play "Hotel" with some of the missionaries. It is SO fun. I have won the two last times :D

Here are a few pictures of the family now:

See ya! :D

My trip to Finland's old capitol: TURKU and fun times with the missionaries...

Good morning! :) How goes it? I am happy and I am going to the Temple today with my best friend from my ward... Anywhooo... I visited Turku/Åbo at the end of November. It was a blast. I spent four days in the old capitol of my country, which in my humble opinion should have been kept as the capitol... As a person from Tampere/Tammerfors I should maybe expected to NOT like Turku, but like my father - I do like Turku and have liked it for a long time. I stayed at my friends' place and they were so kind to me and I could "do my stuff" there in peace, like reading, writing and listening to music. I also loved attending the zoom -meetings that I had during my stay. My lovely friends are originally from Jyväskylä. We have known each other for years... Sorry, long intro... :D  I spent four fabulous days in Turku. On Thursday I arrived and didn't meet with the missionaries that day, I rested from my trip to Turku. I arrived in the morning. OK. Sorry for the long backstory. ...

Boss/Mom and her excellent children :)

Good afternoon! This post is about two things: 1. How awesome missionaries are 2. How I am always on their side come what may SO. There has been a little break from last week's Tuesday until this week's Tuesday when I couldn't go to church or the activities at church. I had the flu... :( A little remnants still but almost okay now. I went to Game night this week on Tuesday. It was good. I spent a lot of time talking with one of the sisters and we played the piano for each other.. Then I also got a blessing because my anxiety has been acting up again. I must say, our elder Heaton is like a big brother, even to me! :) So wise and je ne sais quoi. Just a really good person. I am so grateful for all my bonus children.  I do not really remember if I told you in this blog that I am saving up money to go to Utah next year with my mom :) I have never been there. We have two relatives and their families living in Salt Lake City... I have like a billion children in Utah lol. Not a b...

Stake conference and a lot of missionaries

Good morning from Finland! :) Hope you are all doing well. I am doing really well.  Last weekend we had our stake conference, and this time it was .in Turku. the old capitol of our country. I like Turku a lot.. The people are nice, the ocean is close by (makes me feel at home, because I lived in Stockholm 12 years). I used to pass through Tukru A LOT when I lived in Stockholm... I got a ride there with my friends. That was really nice. On Saturday we arrived and we had the evening meeting at the church. I only said a quick word to the missionaries and left early because I was hungry and tired. I spent the night at my friend Virika. It was really nice. We watched "Isn't it romantic?" -a romantic comedy on Netflix, we also ate pizza. Sorry, this blog has turned more into a "normal blog" with a dash of missionaries! I am sorry! So. On Sunday I went a little earlier to the theater where we had our Sunday meeting. I sat before the meeting in the back corner and most...
